Govt allocates 300 bln rbl to buy aircraft from foreign firms

MOSCOW, Mar 15 (PRIME) -- The Russian government has allocated around 300 billion rubles to buy aircraft from foreign leasing companies, Transport Minister Vitaly Savelyev said on Wednesday.

“We are trying to buy the aircraft from foreign lessors. We understand the problem quite well. The government has already allocated around 300 billion rubles,” he said at a meeting of the transport and transport infrastructure committee of the parliament’s lower chamber State Duma.

National flagship carrier Aeroflot has already bought out 10 long-range aircraft, he added.
